Technical description

The Department of Particle Interactions and Detection (KOiDC) of the Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science (WFiIS) of the AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH) has been designing and building detection systems for particle physics experiments for almost 20 years. The research program of the KOiDC includes both the design of specialized multi-channel ASIC (Application Spesific Integrated Circuit) integrated circuits for processing signals from detectors, as well as the construction of entire detection systems based on semiconductor or gas detectors. The automatic bonder and fast oscilloscope with the analysis of digital signals are critical and necessary instruments for our group to maintain a leading position in the conducted research and will allow to increase the level of scientific research currently carried out, as part of various international projects and collaborations.

The automatic bonder is a universal device for automatic and semi-automatic micro-wire bonding with the possibility of quick replacement of appropriate heads.

The high-speed oscilloscope allows you to measure on 2/4 channels of time signals with a sampling rate of 80GSps/40GSps, with a bandwidth of up to 13GHz. 100Mpts of samples are stored in each channel. The time resolution of the device is not worse than 1ps.
