Elemental analysis system consisting of a spectrometer, a microwave digestion system for cation analysis sample preparation, and an ion chromatography module for anion analysis
System consists of:
1. Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer
iCap Pro XP Duo (Thermo Scientific)
2. Microwave Digestion System
UltraWAVE (Milestone) with SRC (Single Reaction Chamber) technology, combining microwave heating with a high-pressure reactor.
3. Ion Chromatograph
Thermo Scientific Dionex Aquion for anion analysis.
As part of contracts and orders after prior approval by the Laboratory Manager. Tests are performed only by authorized personnel of the Laboratory.
ICP-OES is a high sensitive, multi-elemental, accurate and fast technique that is widely used in environmental analysis. The analysis of solid samples requires their prior preparation, e.g. by microwave digestion.
Ion chromatography is a sensitive and accurate technique that is widely used in environmental analysis. It allows to measure the concentration of anions in aqueous solutions.
Depending on the analyzed element and the matrix of sample, it is possible to measure concentrations of µg/L. Routinely, the limits of quantification range from several to several hundred µg/L.
Possibility of mineralization of samples with different matrices using appropriate reagents and process conditions.
Depending on the analysed ion and the sample matrix, it is possible to measure concentrations of µg/L.
