Environment and Human
Description
The research group was established in 2020. It consists of researchers from AGH and other scientific institutions, as well as employees associated with industry and local government administration.
The key interests of our group are:
Quantitative and qualitative analysis of organic and inorganic pollutants in water, soil, plants and other components of the environment,
Assessment of the health risk of children and adults related to exposure to the presence of organic and inorganic xenobiotics in the environment,
Resistance and migration rate of pollutants (heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, PAHs and others) in natural erosion processes,
Transformations of heavy metals in the soil environment and waste,
Chemical analyses in waste management,
Transformation and reuse of municipal and industrial waste,
Study of the relationship between selected technological processes of water purification,
Analysis of databases and environmental threats in relation to natural resources,
Assessment of the environmental condition of naturally valuable areas and small areas subject to legal protection.
