Oedometers
The device is used to determine oedometric soil's consolidation modules in the load range from 12.5 kPa to 1600 kPa.
The device is only available in the laboratory. Only employees of the Department of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology of the AGH University of Science and Technology are authorized to provide service. Laboratory works for external entities are carried out on the basis of a formal order (form available at: http://home.agh.edu.pl/~labgg/dokumenty/) after registration at the Administrative Office of the WGGIOŚ. The implementation of the research requires the consent of the Head of LBGiG.
The device is used to determine oedometric soil compressibility modules, on the basis of which it is possible to calculate the amount of soil subsidence under the influence of loads (loads caused by the foundation, embankment, etc.). The apparatus also allows to determine soil swelling parameters. It is also possible to determine the permeability by constant and falling head for various loads.
Possibility of continuous monitoring of vertical deformations during the test with an accuracy of 0.001 mm and soil consolidation parameters.
