ZEISS Axiolab 5 Microscope
The Axiolab 5 microscope is a new generation microscope, perfectly suited for use in an industrial environment. It allows observation in transmitted and reflected light, has a digital camera and image analysis software. Modern solutions allow for quick, easy and intuitive image acquisition and rapid analysis of results.
The microscope is equipped with:
Plan achromatic objectives, made of annealed glass
• 2.5x / aperture 0.085, working distance 8.8 mm, universal for covered and uncovered preparations
• 5x / aperture 0.15, working distance 12 mm, universal for covered and uncovered preparations
for covered preparations
• 10x / aperture 0.25, working distance 6.5 mm
• 20x / aperture 0.45, working distance 0.63 mm
• 50x / aperture 0.80, working distance 0.41 mm
for uncovered preparations, with increased contrast
• 10x / aperture 0.25, working distance 11.0 mm
• 50x / aperture 0.75, working distance 1.0 mm
Digital color camera:
• Resolution: 2464 (H) x 2056 (V) = 5 megapixels or larger
• Pixel size 3.45 μm x 3.45 μm
• Integration time: 0.1 ms to 4 s or greater

• Acquisition speed: at least 36 fps at full resolution

Image processing software.
Tests performed by trained research staff after previous contact.
Petrographic analysis of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. Determination of the degree and type of rock porosity (primary, secondary).
