Arc melter
Laboratory furnace for synthesizing metallic materials, including reactive and high-melting ones, through arc melting in a protective atmosphere. The device enables the production of laboratory casts weighing up to 200 g, solidifying on a copper water-cooled plate. Additionally, the use of a suction casting attachment allows for casting alloys into rod forms (diameter from 3 to 10 mm, length 55 mm) under accelerated cooling conditions. This method is used to obtain bulk metallic glasses and amorphous-crystalline composites. The hydraulic water module provides controlled and repeatable conditions for alloy solidification, which is extremely important when assuming repeatability of the experimental results.
