System for testing the eficiency of advanced methods of exploitation of liquid resources
The Core Lab AFS Core Flooding System is designed for permeability measurement of core samples, at in-situ conditions of pressure and temperature. Tests that can be performed with the system include secondary water flooding, tertiary water flooding, polymer flooding, permeability measurements (absolute and phase - unsteady state method), and other displacements. Both gas and liquid floods can be done. Test conditions can be up to 10,000 psig pore pressure and 10,000 psig confining (overburden) pressure, at 150°C (302 F). The confining (overburden) pressure on the core, the inlet pressure into the core sample and outlet pressures on the other side of each core are measured with gauge pressure transducers. The differential pressure is measured with differential-pressure transducers.

1. Porosity measurement.
2. Measurement of absolute and relative permeability.
3. Study of fluid flow and storage processes in a porous medium.
4. Determination of the minimum miscibility pressure of gases with liquids.
5. Study of the process of diffusion in liquids and gases.
6. Study of fluid displacement processes.
7. Study of wettability of rock-oil-water system.
