Laser system
The laser system (laser machine) is used for surface heat treatment, welding, cutting materials and coatings deposition (cladding) with additional material in the form of powders. It is used both for research purposes, e.g.: implementation of scientific and research projects, doctoral theses, as well as for teaching purposes.
Parameters:
The system is equipped with a 2 kW disk laser (on the workpiece) and a laser radiation wavelength of 1030 nm. It has a fiber optic cable with two fiber diameters: 100/400μm and a length of 20 m.
The system includes:
- optic adapter for welding and heat treatment,
- optic adapter for cladding,
- optic adapter for cutting,
- optical system for observation and quality control of surfacing coatings and laser welds.
In addition, the laser system is equipped with a powder conveyor with 2 separate powder feeders and 1.5 l tanks for up to 2 different additional materials. Axis travel range: X = 800 mm, Y = 600 mm, Z = 400 mm. Tilting range for optics in the B axis is +/-135 deg. The device is equipped with an additional rotary axis for processing pipe-type elements with a three-jaw chuck and the possibility of passage for the minimum diameter. It also has an actively monitored, sensor-based, protective machine housing, protecting the laser class 1.
